-Prism's features editor, Tina Vasquez, is looking for pitches of thoughtful, nuanced op-eds about "the Latino vote," particularly from a Latino journalist who has covered politics beyond horse race presidential election coverage. The rate wasn't given, but has previously been $0.50 per word. Send pitches to [email protected] ASAP.

-Ambrook Research editor Jesse Hirsch is always looking for pitches of stories at the intersection of agriculture and trucking. Pitches should be aimed at their audience of farmers and agriculture professionals. Writers can be from anywhere, but the focus of the stories must be the U.S. The rates start at $0.50 per word. Send pitches to [email protected].

- The Paris Review is still accepting applications for its Spring-Summer 2025 Editorial Internship in NYC, and has extended its application deadline. “Each internship term covers two full issues of the quarterly magazine. Interns assist with every step of the magazine’s production, particularly with fact-checking, as well as reading and evaluating submissions and researching potential interviews.” The internship pays $20 per hour (with the option to enroll in health insurance) and requires working full-time for six months. Apply by November 25. Send inquiries about the internship to assistant editor Oriana Ullman at [email protected].

-The Los Angeles Times is hiring a temporary news reporter on a six-month contract for its De Los initiative, which focuses on building relationships with the Latino community. Candidates should have at least two years of professional newsroom experience, including some experience writing on Latino topics or working with Latino or Spanish-language media outlets. “Fluency in Spanish is a plus,” but not required. The pay range is $31.46 to $44.98. The role is expected to start in January or February and last six months.

-The Atlantic is hiring a senior editor to work on ambitious feature stories for both the print magazine and the website. Candidates should have “significant experience assigning and editing major feature stories, including narratives, profiles, and argued essays.” The position can be based in New York City or Washington, DC. The salary range is $100,000-$175,000.
