-Business Insider's deputy editor, Conz Preti, is looking for pitches of essays on the following topics: “the grief of knowing you'll never be a grandparent (because your kids are not having kids)” and “feeling the pressure as an only child to have kids so your parents can be grandparents.” The rate wasn't given, but has always been $250. Send pitches to [email protected].

-Prism, an independent, nonprofit newsroom led by journalists of color, is always looking for pitches of stories from grassroots perspectives that “challenge damaging narratives and empower social justice movements.” “Please note that Prism currently only covers issues across the U.S. and in U.S. territories. We do not cover international issues at this time.” They especially encourage pitches from BIPOC, women, LGBTQIA+ people, and others from historically oppressed communities. The rate is $0.50 per word. Send news pitches to [email protected]. For features, op-eds, explainers, or other types of stories, email [email protected].

-Leicester Gazette is always looking for pitches of investigations, solutions-focused features, news features, human-interest stories, arts and culture features, history features, voices (comment/opinion), and more with a Leicester or Leicestershire hook. They are looking for stories about "people, communities, or neighbourhoods." The rate is £125 per story. Send pitches through their pitch form.
